Gov. Fintiri flags off work on 6.5km roads in Mubi bypass

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri laid the foundation for the six-and-a-half-kilometer Mubi bypass road, which will cost three billion naira to build.

Governor Umaru Fintiri, speaking at the event in Mubi, said the Mubi bypass project has been long overdue because the town relies on only one main road for entry and exit from the Maraaraba side.

When the Mubi International Cattle Market is finally built by the current administration, the Governor says the project will help reduce the expected influx of people and vehicles.

In addition, in collaboration with the European Union, we have improved water supply in Mubi North and South. These include the 100 percent completed rehabilitation of the Mubi Water Treatment Plant.

“A hundred percent completed rehabilitation of Kolere’s water works.” Circular Tank Mubi has also been completely rehabilitated. The ground tank behind Mubi General Hospital has also been fully restored. Reconstruction of the network system that connects the tanks that have already been serviced

He Added that government will continue to take advantage and work with the enterprising people of Mubi by developing agriculture and commerce in the area for development,”

The speaker ADHA Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, Member representing Mubi South and north Musa Mbororo and Shuaibu Musa appreciate the Governor for the project.

Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, revealed that the road project will include, among other things, the construction of a three-five span bridge across the River Yadzaram.
