Governor Uzodimma receives the new Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma yesterday in the company of the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Macdonald Ebere PhD, received the new Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh and other Members of the House.

His Excellency expressed understanding of legislative lifestyle and declared the recent events as victory for democracy having being amicably resolved by the Members of the House. He expressed his continous reverence to the principles of separation of powers while however appealing for collaboration with other arms of Government.

According to the Governor, “I urge you to play down those things that divide you and play up those factors that unite and make you stronger for the good of the people. Imo is greater than any personal interests and the Government is one, the synergy is important for the thorough development of the State“.

The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh expressed gratitude to His Excellency, the party leadership and his colleagues in the House for their steadfastness in ensuring that peace and unity is restored for the overall interest of all while assuring of the House’s commitment in collaborating with other arms of Government in service to the people.
