Kwara PDP Senatorial candidate for the 2023 elections, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has expressed gratitude to the leader of the party in the State, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and other party stakeholders for the unanimous decision to present him as the consensus candidate of the party for the senatorial district.

Abdullahi on Saturday emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Kwara Central senatorial district through a consensus arrangement put in place by the party’s leadership.

The former Minister, who is also known as Omolúàbi, expressed appreciation to the national leader of the PDP, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, leaders and members of the Party, particularly in Kwara Central, for the trust reposed in him to fly the party’s flag in the senatorial election.

He equally applauded the Party under the capable leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki for its smooth, peaceful and transparent conduct of its consensus process in selecting candidates for the 2023 General elections. Dr. Saraki, he said, has worked tirelessly to prepare the party for victory ahead of the 2023 general elections and must be appreciated.

According to the former Minister, “None of the aspirants who declared for the seat under our party is less worthy of the consensus. I therefore consider my choice only as a matter of privilege which I intend to justify Insha Allah.”

He added, “To be considered worthy of representing millions of constituents of the Kwara Central Senatorial District is a great honor that I accept with a serious sense of responsibility. I will not let you down.”

Abdullahi charged all aspirants and their supporters to wholeheartedly back all candidates of the party at all levels in order to deliver victory to PDP in the forthcoming elections.
