Rep Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara, , has described the first 365 days of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in office as impressive.

The Lawmaker said this in a congratulatory message to the Governor in Omu-Aran on Friday to mark his first anniversary in office.

Ajuloopin commended the Governor’s open door policy and transparency in the discharge of his duty, adding that his unalloyed commitment to serve the people of Kwara with unwavering determination and selflessness stood him out among his peers in the country.

He said Abdulrasaq had changed the face of governance with his simplicity and the meticulous way of developing the state through people oriented programmes.

Ajuloopin, who double as the chairman of House Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, stated that the Governor’s fairness had seen all the three senatorial districts in the state benefited from one project or the other.

According to him, the present administration inherited N19.5m salary arrears at the International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC), located in one of the local government areas of his constituency, but has since settled the debt to return operations at the centre.

“For the first time, bursaries and scholarships were being paid through transparent electronic windows in a bid to rule out fraud that usually characterised the payment.

“Just 12 months in the saddle, the symbol of Otoge in Kwara has successfully changed Kwara narrative.

This according to Ajuloopin ranged from prompt payment of relevant counterpart funds, which had returned development partners by taking the state off the Universal Basic Education (UBEC) blacklist.

“Also, one of the first Nigeria Museum in Esie which is in one of our local government areas hitherto neglected is now receiving attention from Gov AbdulRazaq’s led administration.

Ajuloopin said that the road to the historical site was overtaken by bush prior but had changed under AbdulRazaq by tarring the road to the facility.

The lawmaker added that 68 urban roads and mini bridges linking major communities in the state were either completed or undergoing construction across the state.

Ajuloopin however urged the people of the state to be patient with the Governor, stressing that to right the rots left by the past administration would not be an easy task.
