Ooni, Ado Bayero commend Oyetola’s two years’ giant strides

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, on Wednesday lauded Governor Adegboyega of Osun State for his relentless efforts to turn around the socioeconomic fortune of the State.

The revered traditional rulers also extolled the leadership style of Oyetola and the giant strides recorded within two years of his Administration.

They gave the commendations during their visit to the Governor at the Government House, Osogbo.

Bayero who commended Oyetola for building infrastructure in the state, said he would take the message of some of his good works to his Kano counterpart and the people of Kano State.

According to him, the level of infrastructue development in Osun was a testimony to the fact that Governor Oyetola’s administration meant well for the people of the State.

He also extolled the Governor for the maintenance of peace, stability and unity among the residents of the State.

“I am here to pay you a courtesy visit as part of efforts to further strengthen the bond of brotherliness and unity between us and the southerners, particularly the Yoruba and the northerners.

“My visit here today has further confirmed your tireless efforts to good governance. I am highly impressed by what I have seen so far since I arrived your State.

“It takes quality leadership to achieve a lot of remarkable things that can make life easier for the people of the state. You have done excellently well.

“This is a good development and I will take the impressive message along to recommend for our people in Kano”, he added.

Also, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, hailed the Governor’s high sense of commitment to the welfare of the people.

He lauded the immense achievements of the administration in the last two years, describing them as unprecedented and worthwhile.

Ooni said the visit was to solidarise with the Governor, commend his remarkable achievements and encourage him to do more for the good people of the State.

“I am happy to visit our very own Governor, ever- performing, amiable, very calm but driven by results in all his activities and forward looking Governor.

“I am happy that you are doing wonders in our State. Just continue what you are doing, continue the job that God sent you to do. We are with you and God is with you.

“We are here to greet you for all the good works you have been doing and to felicitate with you on the second year anniversary”, Ooni added.

In his response, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, thanked the two monarchs for their contributions to national development.

He also appreciated the forefront traditional rulers for deeming it worthy to visit him and appreciate the little his administration had done to develop the state, impact on the lives of the people and turn Osun to pacesetter of socioeconomic development.

Oyetola who described the two monarchs as major stakeholders in the quest for nation building, national integration and peaceful coexistence, enjoined them to double their efforts at promoting the core objective of unity in diversity.

The Governor further urged them to continue to use their revered positions to promote culture, unity, stability, togetherness and oneness of Nigeria.

“I am happy for this visit. Our administration has the highest regard for traditional institution and we shall continue to respect and honour our traditional rulers. We shall continue to tap from their royal advice and wisdom that can help us to build a better Osun.

“Your visit is a signal to the oneness of Nigeria, unity and progress. I thank you for your role in maintaining peace, we appreciate your support to restore peace and stability, particularly in the fight against insecurity. We want you to continue to build bridges across the nation to sustain the spirit of oneness and togetherness of Nigeria”, he added.
